What is clicking?

This is the process of pressing and quickly releasing the mouse button, be it the left or the right one. There are three common types of mouse clicking, including left, right and double clicking.

This is the computer mouse

Left click is pressing and releasing the left mouse button and is typically used for select an item (text, icon, object, links, etc.). Right clicking as its name implies, is simply clicking the right mouse button, and this type of clicking brings up the shortcut menu that gives us options that we can select for performing a certain task. Double clicking is pressing and releasing twice the left mouse button quickly.

Drag and drop
Drag and drop is the process of left clicking on an item especially a folder, file or a photo and hold down on the left mouse button while moving the mouse to another location on the computer screen. This helps us move an item from one place to another on the screen, and it is properly done on the software programs supporting drag and drop, i.e. Adobe Photoshop, MS-Word, MS-Publisher Corel Draw and other more. You can also copy a file, folder and other objects i.e. photos and Organization charts by dragging an and drop while keeping the Control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard depressed.

When you are arranging shapes in the graphics designing program, you must drag an item from one place to another on the program's interface so that they can stay in a proper order.

You can also drag an item from one program to another. Drag and drop is the same to cut and paste as all of them tend to take something to the new destination in the computer system. But in most cases, drag and dropping an object in Application software like Microsoft publisher is better than cut and paste. This is because drag and drop takes an item to the exact location you specify, while pasting sometimes cannot make an object stay at the specific point/area.
