What is a file?

The file is the collection of data or information created and or stored under the specific program in the computer hard disk. The file can contain sound, video, picture/image/photo, text or other types of data, and it is stored in the computer hard disks or any other type of data storage Media under certain program and name.

When you open Microsoft word and type any kind of the document, you are really creating a file under Microsoft Word Program. This means that whenever you want to create a file, you have to think about two or three things, that is; “What kind of information do you want to create? Which program is special for creating that kind of information?“ If you know all that, then beginning creating the file is as easiest as “getting down from the Peak of Kilimanjaro Mountain.” Believe me!
