How to delete your browsing history and other data in google chrome

Thank you very much for visiting this post and my blog in general. Today I got a question from one of my students. He told me that, he was able to delete browsing data in Internet Explorer and other web browsers except Google Chrome. So, I taught him how to delete browsing history and in just a few minutes he was able to delete them in the Chrome web browser. I thought it was a good idea to share this experience with others too, so that they will be able to clear their browsing data while browsing the Internet using Google chrome.

Deleting your browsing history will make it impossible for other users to know which website you visited or which web page(s) you viewed. However, deleting browsing data will not stop some computer professionals with high technical skills from tracing and seeing everything you do on the web. Good news is that it will make it possible for the newbie coworkers to know nothing about whatever you do online. Follow the simple steps below to learn these important techniques:

1. Launch your Google Chrome browser in your computer

2. Click on the Wrench menu button located to the top-right corner of the browser window and select History as shown below:

3. Click on the Clear browsing data button as shown below:

4. Specify the range of time for the browsing data you want to delete

When you click the down arrow button located at the top of the screen, you will see the following options:

  • the past hour.
  • the past day.
  • the past week.(will delete browsing history of the past week)
  • the last 4 weeks. (this will allow you delete your browsing history of the last four weeks)
  • the beginning of time. (will delete all your browsing history and data)

5. Select which kinds of data to clear/delete in your Chrome browser.

Simply click on the check box beside the options to specify which browsing data to delete as shown on an image above, and when you finish selecting your preferred options, click on the Clear browsing data button located to the bottom-right side of the screen
